By Car:

The main approach road to Kirkleatham Village is the A174 Parkway. The principle access routes to the A174 are the A19 which runs north from York and the south from Newcastle.

The A171 runs North West from Scarborough to Guisborough linking to the A174 via the B1269.

Follow the Brown signs.

There is Free Parking available at the museum.

By Train:

Kirkleatham Village is not served directly by passenger rail. The nearest railway station is Redcar Central on the Middlesbrough to Saltburn line. There is a regular service from Darlington to Middlesbrough.

From Redcar Central there are buses from the Clock on West Dyke Road in Redcar, a five minute walk from the railway station.

  • Continue straight on Albion Terrace (Parking is available here)
  • Continue on foot by turning right towards Glenside
  • Onto The Saltburn Loop a sign posted pathway form the area to the right of the children’s play park
  • Follow the pathway down to the Woodalnd Centre

There is free parking on  Albion Terrace. 

The Woodland Centre has restricted parking and one designated Disabled Parking space closer to building accessible only under prior arrangement. Please contact Whippet Up for more information before you arrive.
